Greater Second Baptist Church ‘ransacked,’ MPD investigating

Marion Police officers are investigating a break-in at the Greater Second Baptist Church on 26th St., which they believe took place Sunday evening.
On Tuesday, church member Monica Artis-Clark reported that a stained-glass window on the building’s east-facing wall had been partially broken out, according to MPD’s Deputy Chief Stephen Dorsey.
Upon investigating, police found the secretary’s office had been “ransacked.” Stolen items included a Compaq desktop computer, monitor and speakers.
The investigation is active at this time.
