Yesterday the Gas City Board of Works held a special meeting to approve Community Crossing grant bids to pave around a dozen roads.
City Engineer Ken Smith said the grant will allow the city to accelerate paving and that now the city can pave four times more streets than it would otherwise being able to afford.
E&B Paving is tasked with the road work.
