You can now hunt deer within Fort Wayne city limits.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is holding a deer reduction zone season to target areas, like Fort Wayne, who have a high deer population.
Archery equipment can be used in these zones. Each hunter with a license is allowed to bag 10 deer.
Only one of those deer can have antlers. Hunters will need to get permission to hunt on private land as well as a deer reduction license.
Hunting hours run from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset, until Jan. 31, 2020.
For details on licenses, zone restrictions, and more visit the Indiana Department of Natural Resources web site.
