The ballot is set for the caucus this weekend to appoint a successor for Councilman Don Batchelor in the District 5 Marion City Council seat.
Batchelor died earlier this month, following a months-long battle with health issues.
The caucus will meet this weekend to choose from among three candidates:
- Ed Bounds
- Larry Emmons
- Annalisa Stodghill-Weeks
The caucus will not be made public.
Officials say the person appointed will serve the remainder of Batchelor’s term, which expires on Dec. 31, 2023.
